George Lawson
Founding Pastor
George Lawson led the Riverside Seventh Day Baptist Church’s youth and children’s ministries for 4 years. George and his wife Karen, a registered nurse, live in Moreno Valley with three of their four children – Jonathan, Stephen and Elisabeth. Their eldest son, Matthew, recently moved from Battle Creek, Michigan to Moreno Valley, with his wife, Sandy, and daughter, Gabriella.
George has a heart for seeing people come to know Christ, grow in their relationship with Him, and fulfill their life purpose in Christ. His philosophy of ministry is to be a model and mentor – an example to those in and beyond the fellowship of the church. He believes the pastor’s role is to facilitate and equip others, and to help them discover their own gifts, talents and ministries.
