PURPOSE:

Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.

Our goal is to reach out to those in our community, especially children. One of the best ways to reach our neighbors is to provide a way for them to attend our church. The Lord uses this ministry to reach children and families with the Gospel Love of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are committed to operating with excellence, serving with a GOD centered attitude, and being an example through our words and actions.

Members of this ministry provide a valuable service, supplying transportation to and from church-wide activities and outings for other ministries. This ministry can be vital in enabling many persons to come to worship and to find Christ.

DESCRIPTION:

Each van must be staffed with a minimum of three leaders:

• A Van Driver, responsible for only one thing – delivering everyone safely to and from events
• A Van Captain, responsible for programming and maintaining order
• Runner(s), responsible for going to the door at each stop and assist the Captain while the van is in motion

Initially, we will use rented vans. If the ministry grows to the point where it becomes feasible, even advisable, to purchase our own vans we will also need volunteers to help maintain and clean the vans.

Time Commitment: 2-3 hours
Special Skills: Drivers – a CDC Class B license with passenger endorsement
Captains – ability to lead in songs and games with the kids, familiar with acceptable discipline
Runners – ability to connect with kids in a positive way
Status: Captains – MEMBER, others ANYONE
