PURPOSE:

The goal of any church is to reach people and touch lives … and the online world is the biggest front door the church has ever seen.  By streaming our services and other events, we’re able to take our ministry beyond the walls of our church, connecting with more people than ever before.

1. Reach Seekers – Take a moment to imagine someone who has never set foot in a church, whose parents never spoke about God, and whose friends don’t identify with religion. Still, that person might be curious about the Bible and wants to learn more. Most people who fit this description will start their search on Google instead of walking through the doors of a church. Showing your services online shows them a glimpse of the community they could join.
2. Connect With People Who Are Homebound – One of the most practical and consistently relevant applications of online church is that it allows the young mother to stay at home with her coughing preschooler while still tuning in to take part in her weekly Bible study.
3. Share Important Moments – Our church hosts lots of important events – baptisms, commissionings, child dedications, and more. Sometimes, however, the people who want to be there just can’t make it. Being able to watch the event streamed live lets these people share those important moments, despite their physical distance.
4. Grow Larger by Growing Smaller – We can expand our church’s reach and influence by setting up ” micro-campuses” — basically home gatherings built around weekly services with a view to outreach. Because we can share the messages and experiences on any computer monitor or tablet, we can reach people in neighborhoods who might not drive or come to Maranatha, but would go to a friend’s house.

DESCRIPTION:

Campus Pastors are needed to help lead small groups throughout the Inland Empire,
pastoring a regular “flock” of a dozen members or so.
