PURPOSE:

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.

To provide care and comfort to those who are experiencing life-altering events in their lives — illness,
the birth of a child, loss of a loved one, etc.

DESCRIPTION:

The team will be called upon to provide emotional, physical and spiritual help to those in need. This could include:

• Arranging temporary meal preparation and delivery
• Arranging for physical assistance as needed (moving, cleaning, etc.)
• Sending flowers and a card of sympathy in the event of the death of a member or a member’s spouse, child, mother or father
• Being available and flexible when the need arises
