PURPOSE:

The Library’s purpose is to provide spiritual, educational, and recreational materials for the needs of those who call Maranatha their church home, and to encourage our children, youth, and adults to be informed, instructed, and encouraged in their Christian walk. It is responsible for the church’s collection of books, CDs, publications and other media as well as its equipment and software.

DESCRIPTION:

The Library Team —

• Keeps an up-to-date library catalog system
• Sets the library hours, checks out materials, and re-shelves returned materials
• Makes follow- up contact with overdue borrowers
• Purchases media items requested by members and approved by the Pastor
• Promotes the use of the media, library services and materials available to members
• Stays up-to-date on new Christian titles
• Maintains the library inventory and keeps it updated, organized and in good order
