I have calls into both principals and both building property managers, and have scheduled a site visit for the medical plaza. Updates to follow as I have them.

7:00 am —

At this point, our only viable options seem to be these:

• Meet at the Community Center
• Meet at either Woodrow Wilson or Cooley Ranch school
• Meet at the building on Cooley Drive
• Meet at the building on Mt. Vernon
• (see earlier posts for descriptions)

There are several “feelers” out to local Sunday churches (and 1 more just outside of Colton has also been suggested). But this experience has soured most everyone I’ve talked to toward renting from another church. The host church has been very easy to work with, but it severely limited our ability to respond to issues beyond our control … like losing their lease. So we’re trying very hard to find another answer if at all possible.

Meeting at banquet facilities is prohibitive because of the cost … a minimum of $1,000 each Saturday. Also, prohibitive (so far) are hotel reception rooms … a minimum of $700 each Saturday. But we keep looking.

6:45 am —

Friday’s rumor that our host church would be moving back into Suite #7 in September for a 3-year lease, appears to be false. The property management company has not (as of yesterday) offered a firm (i.e., written) offer summarizing their earlier oral agreement. So at this point, they also do not have a known destination for the near future.
